From Benchtop to Bedside

The advancement of exercise oncology research and clinical practice spans foundation understanding of the mechanisms by which exercise suppresses cancer initiation, development and spread to implementation of exercise oncology into medical and supportive care.

  • Mechanisms – how does exercise change the systemic environment

  • Prescription – tailoring exercise programming to the individual patient

  • Implementation – Community of practice and embedding in care of patients with cancer

Exercise oncology has been extensively researched across multiple domains. The evidence is irrefutable as to the benefit for people with cancer. ISEO is dedicated to ensuring exercise oncology support is available to all.
